Paul Asher Robbins, age 90, died Sunday, August 12, 2012 peacefully in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born January 28, 1922 in Clayville, Virginia to Thomas and Nina Bellows Robbins. On December 1, 1945 he married Charlotte Mary Whartnaby in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Paul grew up in Buckingham, PA. He served in the US Navy during WWII on a minesweeper ship in the North Atlantic. After the war, he married his childhood sweetheart and they raised their family in Bucks County, PA. He worked as an operating engineer and did side carpentry jobs to support his family. In 1979 they retired to Logandale, Nevada. He continued to work in his carpentry shop. He loved fishing, gardening, hunting and being with his family. Survivors include his devoted wife, Charlotte; one daughter, Kathleen Zimmerman of Logandale, NV; Paul Jr. (Debra) of Quakertown, PA; three grandchildren: six great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; one brother, Howard (Jean) of PA and one sister, Nina of AZ. Private family services were held.
