Thank you for sending Lucy's write-up. She was a wonderful friend, cook, and fellow traveler. I loved the music playing as I write this.

I was saddened to learn of Lucy's death. I send sincere heartfelt condolences to Ken and the family. I was part of the gourmet group in Arlington, Virginia, that began in 1982 that enjoyed great meals, shared stories, and many laughs over the years. Ken and I enjoyed working together both at Iowa State University and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in Washington, DC. Lucy was always a warm and gracious hostess. I know she will be missed by all who knew her.

Lucy was, most of all, a "people person." She enjoyed time with friends and family more than anything else. She was a great organizer and loved getting together with others to enjoy a great meal. I'm thinking, primarily, of the several lobster feasts we had in Virginia. A lot of time has gone by since then, but we managed to remain close by email, phone, and the occasional visit. I know that the last several months cannot have been easy for either Lucy or Ken, but he is officially my hero, for allowing her to remain in their home until the end. I know she is at peace now and waiting for the rest of us, wherever that might be.

We were saddened to learn of Lucy's death and send our warmest thoughts to Ken and the family. We are part of the gourmet group in Fort Collins that began in 1974 and enjoyed regular great meals, shared stories, and many laughs over the years. Due to Ken's amazing commitment to making Lucy's life as full as possible in her last years, we had the pleasure of sharing one more meal with Lucy and Ken last summer. We thank Ken for giving Lucy and us that opportunity. Nadine and Brad Sheafor
