Rhoana Deelstra

Rhoana Deelstra passed away on May 31, 2017 at her home in Mesquite, Nevada. She was born on March 11, 1955 in St. George, Utah to George and Yvonne (Lister) Henderson. She grew up in Overton, Nevada surrounded by the beautiful scenic mesas and the warm desert of northeastern Nevada.

After graduating from Moapa High School, Rhoana continued her education by attending cosmetology school. In 1977 she married her best friend, Richard Deelstra. Together they had 2 children and raised them to love and care for each other.

Rhoana loved everything that was beautiful. Everyone that knew her will remember her sweet smile and quiet laughter. In her own way she let everyone know how much she loved them, especially her family and dear husband Richard.

She is survived by her children: Amanda Smith (Greg) of Las Vegas, NV and Nicole Hoover (Steve) of Mesquite, NV. Her grandchildren, Dominique (Austin), Shawna (Branddon), Dyllion, and Zach (Nichole).

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard J. Deelstra.

The family would like to express a special thank you and appreciation to all the friends and family who cared for their mother over the final years of her life, especially the Mesa View Hospice workers, and doctors.
