David William Lehr

David Lehr, 67, of Mesquite, Nevada passed away at his home on August 5, 2019 with his loving wife by his side.

David was born in Toledo, Ohio to William and Dorothy Lehr on September 01, 1951. After graduating from high school, David married his sweetheart, Sandra Lee Fletcher for 46 wonderful years. David was a hard worker and loved to be around people. He worked for the Blade Newspaper in Toledo, and was a dedicated employee for 41 years. He retired in 2011, and in 2017 he took Sandra and moved to the Mesquite to enjoy the warm weather and beautiful sunsets.

Sandy loved to be with David, they had many wonderful years together. They truly created years of memories she will forever cherish. They loved to travel and enjoy the beauties of being in different cultures and meeting different people, they had a great gift for making friends wherever they went. David enjoyed participating in, and going to flea markets just so he could meet and talk to people.

David is survived by his sisters, Sandy Howard (Larry), Sharon Lucas (Lou), Renee Ennis (Mel); his brothers, Dan Lehr (Cindy) and Bob Lehr (Mary). He was preceded in death by his parents, William Merrill and Dorothy Keller Lehr.

A memorial service will be held at the Virgin Valley Mortuary, 320 E. Old Mill Road, Mesquite, NV on August 21, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. In memory of David, his family has asked that you consider making a donation to, Mesa View Hospice and/or the Crazy Horse Memorial Foundation.
