DeMurren Reber

Robert DeMurren Reber, age 89, passed away peacefully at his home in Mesquite, Nevada on Friday, April 6, 2018. He was born December 12, 1928 in Santa Clara, Utah to Robert Emil and Mable Vinda Waite Reber. On September 24, 1949 he married Carol Hardy in the St. George LDS Temple.

With the exception of his youth being spent in Littlefield, AZ, DeMurren lived most of his life in Mesquite, Nevada. From his early years, he learned to work hard. He ranched, operated a feed store, opened a sign business and drove truck. His hobbies resembled work too, he was known as "Catfish" as he raised catfish for a time. He raised birds, built horse trailers, loved to weld and loved to work in his shop. Always busy, he found time to be a good husband, father, and friend. He served faithfully in the LDS Church and had a testimony of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his sweetheart of over 68 years, Carol; one son, Beven (Donna) and three daughters: Deon (Gilbert) Felshaw; Myrna Reber; Gayla (Charles) Clem all of Mesquite, NV; daughter in law, Cindy Reber of Las Vegas, NV; 22 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren and one sister, Noma Houston of Mesquite. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandy; one son, Layton; three brothers and four sisters.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Mesquite LDS Stake Center. Visitation will be Friday, April 13, 2018 from 6 - 8 p.m. and again Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. prior to services, both at the Stake Center.  Interment will follow in the Mesquite City Cemetery.
