Dean Weeks

Ervin Dean Weeks, age 85, died Friday, July 21, 2017 peacefully at his home in Overton, Nevada.  He was born April 23, 1932 in Irwin, Idaho to Charles Arthur and Louisa Ann Clark Weeks.  On September 28, 1951 he married Mary Alice Perkins in the Logan Utah Temple. 
Dean spent most of his life in Idaho Falls, Idaho where he worked for the City Hydro Power Generation plant.  He loved the mountains around Idaho, hunting, fishing and camping.  He enjoyed working on engines and small tractors.  He and Alice spent the last 30 years in Overton, Nevada where they enjoyed the warm weather and the fishing on Lake Mead.
Survivors include his sweetheart of 66 years, Mary Alice of Overton; son, Mike (Paula) of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Angela (Charles) Hedel of Phoenix, AZ; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their appreciation and thanks to Dr. Alfaro and  the staff and nurses of Mesa View Hospice. Their kind care will always be remembered.  Also, sincere gratitude for the service and love that our Overton 3rd Ward family has provided.  The Overton Fire and Police Departments were so helpful  and selflessly served our family at all hours. 
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 10 a.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary Chapel.  Visitation will be one hour prior at the mortuary.  Interment will follow in the Logandale Cemetery.  Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
