Fumie Wiggs

Fumie Wiggs, age 92, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was born January 2, 1925 in Japan to Matsu Kato. On December 2, 1955 she married Robert Nelson Wiggs in Tokyo, Japan. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2010.

Fumie grew up in Japan. She was dancing at a competition where she met Robert after the end of WWII. After their marriage, they lived in Hawaii and later in Palm Springs, California. They finally settled in Las Vegas, Nevada. She and Robert enjoyed hosting parties, time with friends and bowling. They were in various bowling leagues and were both very competitive. Always stylish, Fumie enjoyed dressing up and going out with Bob.

She is survived by many distant relatives in Japan and by her close friends in Southern Nevada.

Memorial services will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel. Her ashes will then be interred next to her husband Robert. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
