Gary Darren Hall was born on April 14, 1959, in Celina, Ohio, the third child and second son of Donna AKA "Donna Sue" Rava Lorine Ford and Thomas George Gross. He returned to his heavenly home on September 22, 2017. Gary grew up in Norwalk, California, not far from Disneyland. He went to Montana to live with his mother, Donna Sue and her husband Vern Whiteman, for a time and then returned to his Aunt Betty and Uncle Lynn in Norwalk where he completed his senior year and graduated from Norwalk High School graduating "With Honors" in the Mentally Gifted Minor program, "M.O.M." He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in Fresno, California, in 1977, attended basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas and served in Germany with the weapons troop loading bombs onto planes. Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, Gary returned to the United States and to Las Vegas where he worked at the Hacienda Hotel. Shortly thereafter, he moved to Bozeman, Montana where he pursued a career as a chef. In 1988 he volunteered to work as a cook for firefighters fighting the Yellowstone fire. He changed career paths again and went into sales and returned to Las Vegas in 2002 and was hired as a salesperson with Sysco Food Distributors where he worked for a number of years selling large quantities of food. He later worked at the NuMale Clinic setting appointments. He enjoyed playing baseball and could be found on the baseball fields in Montana. He and Mike played playing softball together. He says Gary played all sports, not just softball; but he loved softball and played on many teams. He alawys played excelled at the position of pitcher.

He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various positions, he enjoyed attending the temple and doing family history.

Gary met and married the love of his life, Cindy Archibald, in April 2009. Gary and Cindy have enjoyed the activity of family life with their family, especially their six grandchildren.

Gary was diagnosed with cancer in May of this year. He approached this challenge in his life with a calm acceptance. His wife Cindy has been by his side. Neither succumbed to depression or self-pity but moved forward with faith and purpose. Family, friends, doctors, nurses and well-wishers have eased their burden and given them strength to carry on.
