George Jeffrey Roberts

George Jeffrey Roberts, age 73, died peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, June 24, 2017
in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born April 17, 1944 in Evanston, Illinois to George Augustus and
Marion Schauffler Roberts. On November 26, 1975 he married Linda Richards Gerveler in Denver,
Colorado.
 Jeff grew up in Evanston and Baltimore, Maryland, and later Minneapolis, Minnesota
where he graduated from Washburn High School and later from University of Minnesota. He
worked for fifteen years with Mobil Chemical until going into ownership of his own sales company.
He lived in Aurora, CO; Rochester, NY; El Dorado Hills, CA and finally settled in Mesquite, NV
in August 2016. He was an avid golfer and loved to travel. He loved raising Standard
Poodles. He always had a great sense of humor and will be remembered as the life of the party.
 Survivors include his wife, Linda. One sister, Sheila (Norman) TerSteeg. One nephew
and and two nieces: Mark (Lydia) TerSteeg; Melissa (Donn) Minter; Mindi (Ben) Groff, many
grandnieces and grandnephews, and his very best friend, Rufous. He was preceded in death by his
parents.
 Private Family Services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
Humane Society or any organization that assists disabled veterans. Friends and family are
