Judy Cox Obituary

Judy F. Cox, 70, passed away on October 18, 2018 in Mesquite, NV. Judy was born in Montana to Bruce and Mary Heffner. She married Daryl Ray Cox on September of 1966 in Metolius, OR.

Judy and Daryl traveled often in their marriage. Daryl moved often for his career, and Judy always did her best to support him. She would often find work in the many places they lived. She was exceptional at making friends and staying in touch with them. She always had a few close friends everywhere she went. Judy was a very happy person and loved to joke with those around her.

Judy loved art, often doing water-colors and ceramics with Daryl. They would go to craft fairs in California to sell her art. When they moved to Texas, Judy began golfing as often as she could, even up to six days a week. She loved the outdoors and being near water, often kayaking or fishing.

Above all, Judy loved her family. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and spending time with them. As she got sick, she and her daughter would call each other every day. Judy treasured her marriage with Daryl.

Judy is survived by her husband; Daryl Cox, her daughters; Michelle Macdonnell and Shannon Burgess, her grandchildren, Jade, Meredith, Chance, and Trace, her brothers, Bob and Dean Heffner, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; Bruce and Mary Heffner, and her sister; Joann Barney.
