I was going thru some pictures today and one of a friend that I met & spent 60 days in the Primary Children Hospital.
L.J. was the current saddle bronc champion teen age division.
When I was put in his room we hit it off right away. L.J. had pictures all over the walls of him riding horse's along with his belt buckles.
They were out in the sand dunes in a truck and the truck flew off one dune and landed into the next dune . L.J. was thrown from the truck . He ended up parallelized from the neck down he could control 1 finger that let him control an electric wheel chair. He was having his back fused so he could sit in a chair.
L.J. had a great outlook I was not sure how he went from reaching his dreams in Rodeo to a life in a wheel chair. I have had dozens of operations and any time I felt sorry for my self I would reflect on the people I came into contact with that had so much more to over come than me.
Now I can see, that the time & experience I had changed my life for the better.
My eternal partner Michelle
Our 4 great sons & like me they married up the ladder and have wonderful partners
Our wonderful grand-kids, Rory, Evie, Ruby & Jojo plus another little girl on the way. (dk&lk)
So L.J. became a contractor in Nevada and did well. The last time I spoke to him he was going to church and this is very difficult thing to do because of his limitations. L.J lived a long life with his challenges and he seemed very happy and content. Each day was a blessing to him and those that he touched.
_____________________________________________________________________________
One story he told me was that he & his mother were looking for a new wheelchair and it came down to two different chairs L.J. wanted the one that went 12 mph but his mother said not your getting the 7 mph chair. He still wanted to move to the next step in life as fast as he could

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. LJ was a good guy. He helped a lot of disabled friends find good paying jobs and live good lives. I didn’t know him well but I did know of all his great deeds. I’m sure he will be missed by many. RIP LJ
