Papa Lee

Leroy J Seckinger, age 80, died Saturday, March 23, 2019 in Henderson, Nevada. He was born February 6, 1939 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Clyde Leroy and Alice Lee Seckinger. On November 15, 1980 he married Delores Florence Maye in Overton, Nevada. They were lovingly married for 38 years. She preceded him in death on May 4, 2017.

Papa Lee lived most of his life in Overton. He started working as a tire repairman for Sears right out of high school. He was so dependable and hard working that he was asked to open a new store in Alaska. After living in Alaska for a few years, he moved back to Las Vegas and later to Overton, working as a repairman for Sears. He could fix anything! After retiring from Sears, he worked as a maintenance technician at the Reid Gardner Power Plant.

Everyone loved to be around Papa Lee. He had a great love for the outdoors and being with people, fishing, boating, riding motorcycles, bowling, hunting, restoring old cars and giving the grand kids rides in the lawn mower wagon. He was quick to laugh and easy to be around. He will lovingly be remembered as Papa Lee.
