Manuel Guzman

Manuel Guzman Alfaro, age 54, died suddenly, Monday, February 12, 2018 at his home in Overton, Nevada. He was born December 20, 1963 in San Diego de Alcala, Guanajuato, Mexico to Daniel and Teresa Alfaro Guzman. On September 21, 1991 he married Maria Luz Mercado in Overton, Nevada.

Manuel grew up in Mexico until moving to Moapa, Nevada at age 15, later graduating from Moapa Valley High School. He worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator. He enjoyed hiking, camping and fishing, playing soccer and softball.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Luz; daughter, Nathalia; son, Daniel and dog, Pebbles all of Las Vegas, NV; two brothers and three sisters: Alfonzo of Moapa, NV; Edith (Jose) Gomez of Logandale, NV; Maria (Lorenzo) Valenzuela of CA; Claudia (Jorge) Chavez of Las Vegas, NV and Daniel Guzman of Mexico.

Visitation and Rosary will be held Friday, February 23, 2018 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary. A Funeral Mass will be held in his honor, Saturday, February 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the St. John’s Catholic Church in Logandale, NV. Final disposition will be in Mexico.
