Rachel Novelli

Rachel Pauline Novelli, 88, passed away on July 5, 2019 in her home in Overton, NV. Rachel was born on March 1, 1931 in Mount Pleasant, New York to Edmund Albert and Delima Leger. She married Leo Novelli in Fox River Grove, IL on April 15, 1961. They were later sealed in the St. George Temple on June 2, 1973. He preceded her in death on December 2, 1993.

Rachel was known for how she served others. 　Over the years she created and crocheted hundreds of Christmas decorations, beanies, baby blankets, and dolls, among other things and blessed many residents of Moapa Valley with her beautiful, homemade gifts. 　Rachel loved music, and was talented in both the keyboard and the accordion. She spent much of her time serving in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, at the Las Vegas, NV Temple, and as secretary for many of the Church’s local organizations. She was excellent at organizing the many tasks and duties assigned to her.

She is survived by her sister, Jeannette Smith of Silverdale, WA and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband; Leo Novelli, her parents, and her sister; Rita Kadera.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Overton Chapel. A visitation will precede the services starting at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel. Interment will follow in the Pioneer Hill Cemetery in Overton, NV.
