Richard Allen Honthaner

Richard (Rick) Allen Honthaner, II, age 66, passed away peacefully in Mesquite, NV on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Rick was the beloved husband and best friend of Heidi (nee Ritter) Honthaner for 42 years. He was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI and graduated from Francis Jordan High School and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor’s degree in History. He was a successful owner/operator of multiple George Webb restaurants in the Milwaukee area for 40 years. Rick was an avid reader, sports fan, and bowler and loved traveling with his wife and family. He was a lifelong resident of Wisconsin before moving to Nevada, six months ago. Rick’s kindness and gentle personality touched the lives of many people. Over the years, Rick and Heidi have lovingly shared their home with many furry and feathered friends.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, sister-in-law; Anne (late Arnold) Ehrlich, brother-in-law; Wolf (Carolyn) Ritter, brother-in-law; Conrad (Debra) Ritter, nieces; Monika (Jeff) Ramczyk, Ashley (Ross) Rechen, Megan Ritter, Kathryn Ritter, nephew; Steven Ritter, father-in-law; Hans Hoffmann and sisters; Deborah and Cynthia. Also survived by other dear relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; Richard and Alice Honthaner, niece; Heidi Koehler and mother-in-law; Cecilia (Rittter) Hoffman.

There will be a Celebration of Life to follow at a later date.
