Robert Dennis McConnaughey

Robert Dennis McConnaughey, 76, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 in Mesquite, NV.  He was born February 27, 1942 in New Mexico, to James and Mozelle McConnaughey.  He married Yvonne Reber in Clyde, Ohio.  

Robert was a veteran who served in the United States Marine Corps.  He supported the Second Amendment and strongly defended what he valued.  He was an avid reader, passionate about learning, valued knowledge and therefore; loved to talk to everyone and was very friendly.  He was a collector, but cherished Native American items, mostly Navajo, and knives.  Robert is known by his loved ones to be the “greatest man on earth”.

Robert is survived by his son; Dennis McConnaughey (Laura), his daughters; Lori Collins (Phillip), and Sarah Beth McConnaughey, four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his wife; his parents; and one brother; Rusty McConnaughey.
