Ronald Hodge Obituary

Ron William Hodge, age 76, died peacefully at his home in Moapa, Nevada on Thursday morning, June 13, 2019. He was born September 14, 1942 to Bonnie William Hodge and Gladys Signora Koltzow. He was married as a young man in California and had three children; was later divorced, and moved to Nevada.

Ron lived most of his life in Southern California, where he worked for nearly thirty years as a jig builder and machinist for Lockheed Martin. He was proud of this work and enjoyed tinkering for the rest of his life. He enjoyed playing pool, family dinners and working on classic cars. He loved animals and many misfit animals found their way into his heart, including donkeys, several pot belly pigs, an alpaca, a one eyed pony and a one eyed dog. Ron had a wonderful wit and sense of humor and he loved a good joke, his many friends will miss his laugh and beautiful smile.

Survivors include his daughter, Terri Hodge; son, Ron Jay, both of Ventura, CA.; a deceased daughter, Tracy; four grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and three brothers: John Hodge, Steve Hodge, and Robert Hodge; and his caretakers and good friends Janice Ridondo and Bobby McCormick. Special thanks to A Caring Hand in Mesquite for their care and compassion over the last few months of Ron's life.
