Ruby Lee Frampton

Ruby Lee Frampton, age 99, passed away in her home on January 19, 2020.  She was born December 23, 1920 to William Riley and Ida Marsella Watkins Brown.
Ruby spent her childhood in Texas.  She married Billy Eugene Phelps in Los Angeles, CA on May 18, 1941.  They had two children, Sandra and Billy, Jr.  Billy passed away in a plane crash during the Berlin Airlift.  They had been married eleven years.  She then met and married Russell Don Frampton on August 1, 1953 in Yuma, AZ. Russell passed away on March 7, 1987.  
Ruby raised her family in Long Beach, California and later in Grass Valley, CA.  She was a bookkeeper as her occupation and loved to ride horses, read and sew.  She moved to Mesquite, NV in 2017.  
Survivors include her daughter; Sandra Dirks; her son, Billy Eugene Phelps, both of Mesquite, NV;  four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by eleven siblings and one son. 
Her cremated remains will be interred with her husband, Russell’s ashes in Hooper and Weaver Cemetery in Grass Valley, California.  Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.virginvalleymortuary.com
