Scott Drury Obituary

Scott Alan Drury, 75, passed away on October 5, 2018 in Mesquite, NV after a long fight with illness. Scott was born on January 1, 1943 in Zionville, IN to Joseph Drury and Frances Weidlich. He married Joy Phillips in Las Vegas, NV on September 23, 1985.
Scott graduated from San Francisco State University with a degree in Chemistry and worked for Diamond Shamrock for twenty years. He was invited to move from San Jose, CA to Ohio with the company, then moved back to California in 1981. He began work as a General Contractor, building collegiate housing all over the United States. While Scott and Joy lived in California, they spent time together in CERT, training together to respond with their community in times of need. During this time, Scott was enthused over the HAM radio, and trained hard to become licensed. He loved sports, spending his time golfing and watching football when the 49'ers were playing. He had a great sense of humor, which kept Joy laughing even up to his last days. He loved his children, and enjoyed scuba diving with them.
Scott is survived by his wife, Eleanor Joyce Drury, his children; Christine (Rex) McDonald, Cindy (Brendan) Wright, Rik (Dana) Drury, and Logan Michelle (TJ) Broadbent, eleven grandchildren, and two and 3/4 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Mark Drury.
The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their Guest Book.
