William John Soss

William John Soss, age 84, died Monday, July 15, 2019 at his daughter’s home in North Las Vegas, Nevada. He was born October 9, 1934 in Yonkers, New York to John and Mary Ivanick Soss. On July 27, 1967 he married Corinne Winn Pearce in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. She preceded him in death on May 28, 2017.

William grew up in Yonkers. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree at the Illinois Institute of Technology while serving in the ROTC. Following graduation, he served in the US Navy. Upon leaving the Navy, he raised his family in Santa Monica, CA and Palos Verdes, California before retiring to Las Vegas, Nevada in the nineties. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball, cooking and reading.

Survivors include two daughters: Laurel Curtis of Las Vegas, NV; Sabrina (Doug Hoey) of North Las Vegas, NV; three grandchildren and one brother, John Soss of CA.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 9:20 a.m. at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.moapavalleymortuary.com
