Alejandrina Huerta De Ramirez

Alejandrina Huerta De Ramirez, 73, passed away on September 4, 2023 in her home in Moapa, NV. Alejandrina was born on May 24, 1950 in Villanueva, Zacatecas, Mexico to Salvador Huerta and Maria Concepcion Romo. She was raised on a ranch where she helped her father raise all sorts of animals. She learned to work hard and to be resourceful from a young age. She attended many Escaramuzas, or rodeos, and she was crowned Queen to represent her town. She married Jose Manuel Ramirez in the spring of 1975 in Aguascalientes, Mexico. They moved to the U.S. and she cared for their four daughters while Jose worked at the dairy. She loved to cook, and would make the best homemade tortillas and queso fresco from the fresh milk Jose would bring home. She was full of life and always hopeful. She always showed her support for her daughters and grandchildren, telling them to keep their heads high like the warriors. She always wanted her family around with the best food and dancing and music. She always showed up for her family and always expected the best out of them.

Alejandrina is survived by her husband, Jose M. Ramirez; her daughters, Illda (Arturo, deceased) Gutierrez, Soledad (Juaquin) Hernandez, Alex Ramirez, and Connie Ramirez Huerta; her eleven grandchildren; her one great-grandbaby on the way; and her siblings, Sidronio Huerta, Juvenal Huerta, Jaime Macias, Marina Munoz, Irene Macias, Margarita Delgado, and Antonia Avila. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Anastacio Huerta.

A Viewing will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, 6:00-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary, Logandale, NV. A Viewing will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2023, 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Moapa Chapel, Moapa, NV, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. The Interment will follow at the Warm Springs Cemetery.
