Anna Marlene (Rogers) DeChant

   Anna Marlene DeChant, age 75, died on August 25, 2021 in Mesquite, Nevada. Anna was born on March 26, 1946 in Watertown, New York to James and Muriel Rogers. While in grade school, Anna's family moved to Girard, Ohio, where she met, and later married John DeChant Jr. on December 16, 1967.  
   Anna was a graduate from Youngstown State University and was a teacher for St Rose School in Girard for over 40 years. While teaching she touched many lives in the Girard area, with many boys and girls, now men and women, thinking of her as a very memorable teacher. After her retirement, she and her husband traveled extensively and settled in Mesquite, Nevada in 2008.  
   Anna was preceded in death by her husband John E. DeChant Jr. She is survived by three children: Dorothy DeChant (Kevin Rooney) of Liberty, Patty DeChant (Andy Piroch) of Austintown, and Jack DeChant (Erica) of Colorado Springs;  4 grandchildren, Hannah and Jonathan Rooney, and Justin and Garrett McGinty; and one brother James Rogers of Liberty.
