Armando Hernandez

Armando Hernandez, age 60, died Tuesday, September 12, 2023 in St. George, Utah.  He was born September 11, 1963 in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico to Jose and Consuelo Zavala Hernandez.  On January 17, 1990 he married Donna Jean Holmes in Las Vegas, Nevada.  

Armando grew up in Moapa, Nevada.  He lived in many places before settling in Mesquite, Nevada where he worked in maintenance for the City of Mesquite.  In 2018 he retired to Hurricane, Utah.  He loved to work on cars, cultivate his yard and grow flowers and vegetables.  He had a great sense of humor and had a nickname for everyone.  He will be remembered for his story telling and as a loving father and husband.  

Survivors include his wife, Donna; his son, Luis both of Hurricane, UT; two brothers and four sisters: Jose (Gloria) of Logandale, NV; Consuelo (Martin) Avila of Beaver Dam, AZ; Carmen Jimenez of Mesquite, NV; Rosa Hernandez of Overton, NV; Maria (Mario) Sandoval of Logandale, NV and Gerardo (Leticia) of Moapa, NV; and many members of the Holmes Family.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in Armando’s Honor on Saturday, September16, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the St. John’s Catholic Church, 2955 N. St. Joseph Street, Logandale, NV.  Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book www.moapavalleymortuary.com
