Barbara Legere Obituary

Mesquite, Nevada- Barbara Legere, age 68, passed away on Sunday, February 21st in St. George, Utah. She was born on February 26, 1952 in Fall River, Massachusetts to Eunice and Fred Lord. She married the love of her life, Joseph Legere on June 25, 1990 in Attleboro, Massachusetts.

Barbara grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts and later Attleboro, Massachusetts, and moved to Mesquite, NV in late 2003. She loved the beach, and would spend as much time by the ocean as possible. She was also a die-hard Patriots fan, and people could hear her cheering them on from down the street. Her smile was infectious and her love had no limits. She loved spending time with her family, and spent countless hours on the phone with loved ones on the East Coast. She was very much an extrovert, talking to anyone she met, but absolutely HATED having her pictures taken.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Joseph Legere (Mesquite, NV); children Carrie (Rick) Roberts of Mesquite, NV, Christopher (Lisa) Legere of Attleboro, Massachusetts, and Mark (Danielle) Legere of Rehoboth, Massachusetts; grandchildren Aslyn Gomez, Louie Roberts, Nicole Legere and Kelsey Legere; sister Sandra (Allan) Golz of Port Charlotte, Florida, brother Glenn (Jayne) Lord of Assonet, Massachusetts, brother Wayne (Marie) Lord of Somerset, Massachusetts, sister-in-law Dorine Charest of Dighton, MA, sister-in-law Lorraine Romikaitis of Attleboro Massachusetts, and sister-in-law Pauline Legere of Attleboro, Massachusetts. She also had many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and friends that had become family. Barbara was preceded in death by both of her parents (Fred and Eunice Lord), brothers, Richard Allen Lord and brother-in-law, Arthur Paul Legere.

Barbara's wishes were to be cremated and her ashes be spread at South Shore/Gooseneck Beach in Rhode Island. Family and friends will be notified when this will take place. Per her wishes, no funeral services will happen at this time.  The family invites you to leave a message or memory on their Guestbook at virginvalleymortuary.com.
