Barbara Symons Obituary
This is my last meandering.
Barbara Ann Flor was born June 27, 1939 to Nick and Grace Flor in Ouray, Colorado. Even at an early age, Barbara was a lively but ornery child. In 1956 she married Alvin Symons. To this union, there were six children: Steven, Mary, Karen, John (a.k.a. Pete), Barbara, Catherine.
As a young woman, Barbara was active in the community. She was President of the Altar Society, President of the Elks ladies, Girl Scout Leader and Brownie Scout Leader. She taught knitting in 4H. Barbara always loved the outdoors. She never liked the cold. She loved family outings, camping together, hunting together and fishing together.
She is survived by Steven, Mary, Karen, John, Barbara, Catherine, a half brother; James, Pensacola, Florida, four grandchildren; Laura, Conner, Forest, Nathan and a sister; Mary Jane Flor, preceded her in death.
I know it is a beautiful warm sunshiny day. Thank all of you for your friendship and I know I will see you all again someday.
