Charles "Charlie" Peter Redman

May 4, 1951 ~ July 30, 2022 (age 71)

Obituary

Charles Peter Redman, age 71, died Saturday, July 30, 2022 at his home in Mesquite, Nevada.  He was born May 4, 1951 in New Prague, Minnesota to Melvin “Pete” and Kathleen Mary McCarrick Redman.  On August 29, 1987 he married Marsha Beth Nye in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Charlie grew up in Belle Plaine, Minnesota.  He raised his family in Denver, Colorado and worked as a men's clothing salesman and subsequent buyer for Daytons, Saks, Nordstrom and Sierra Trading Post (TJX).  In 2004, they relocated to the Seattle, Washington area and finally retired to Mesquite, Nevada in 2018.

Charlie had many talents.  As a young man he enjoyed playing guitar and bass in multiple bands.  He always enjoyed playing cards, cribbage, bridge or shooting pool.  He liked to fish, read and had an interest in history.  He was a die-hard Minnesota Vikings fan, traveled to multiple Super Bowls in the ‘70s and always found a way to watch or record their games.
Survivors include his wife, Marsha of Mesquite; son, Austin (Emily) and their soon-to-arrive first grandchild of Pleasant Hill, CA; sisters, Mary Kay Thompson of Aurora, CO; Nancy Lund of Chaska, MN and brother, Tom Redman of Victoria, MN.
Memorial services will be held at a later date in Minnesota.  Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.virginvalleymortuary.com
