Elizabeth Trombley Obituary

Elizabeth “Betty” Freda Hatin Trombley, 89, passed away on April 23, 2021 in her home in Overton, NV. Betty was born on December 19, 1931 in Burlington, VT to Donald and Freda Purner Hatin. Betty loved art, and was very talented. She used this skill when she worked for C.R. Bard Medical Equipment Manufacturing in Glens Falls, NY as a Specials Development Engineer. The company made various sorts of catheters, and Betty used her artistic ability to design specialized catheters. She would work closely with physicians across the U.S. for special requests and unique cases. She was very involved with pediatric physicians and contributed to the saving of many lives. Upon retiring in 2003, she moved to Overton, NV to be closer to her children. She attended St. Johns Catholic Church, and participated as a Gifts Presenter, Sunday School Teacher, and a Gift Shop Manager. She enjoyed painting and sculpting, joining the Moapa Valley Art Guild and volunteering for the yearly Pomegranate Fesitval. She would always submit her watercolors for exhibit. Betty was also a talented writer who published three books and several short stories. She had an online following, and would publish short stories and poems monthly. She was a remarkable woman who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Christine Trombley of Overton, NV and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Freda Hatin, her brothers, David and Donald, “Sonny”  Hatin; and her sons, Timothy and Ricky Trombley.
