Emmett Leo Flynn

Emmett Leo Flynn, age 71, died Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at his home in Mesquite, Nevada.  He was born February 25, 1950 in Lorain, Ohio to Leo Anthony and Yolanda Francis Briches Flynn.

Emmett grew up in Lorain, Ohio where he excelled at basketball, earning All State Honors while in high school and later worked for U.S. Steel.  He relocated to San Diego where he lived for several years working as an electronic repairman for Hewlett Packard.  In around 1987 he moved to Las Vegas after his marriage and the birth of his daughters, Kelly and Katie.  He retired to Mesquite in 2007 where he met his significant other; Patricia Thomas.  His passion for sports stayed with him throughout his life as he enjoyed golf and bowling.

Survivors include his companion, Patricia Thomas; daughter, Kelly Flynn of Florida and Katie Flynn of Nevada; four brothers: Michael of Lorain, OH; Patrick (Maria Tristan) of Mesquite, NV; Robert of Las Vegas, NV and Larry (Judy) of Avon, OH.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Tommy.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Falcon Ridge Clubhouse in Mesquite, NV.  Friends and family are invited to sign our online guest book at www.virginvalleymortuary.com.
