Evon Bundy Kelly

Evon Bundy Kelly, age 69 of Bunerville, Nevada, died peacefully in her home with family around her on October 8, 2020. She was diagnosed with cancer in late August 2020.

Evon was born in St. George, Utah on September 11, 1951 to David and Bodel Bundy, she was raised on the family ranch in Riverside, Nevada, and graduated from Virgin Valley High School, in Mesquite, Nevada.

Evon was sealed to Steven Lane Kelly for time and all eternity in the St. George, Utah Temple. She worked for Facilities Management for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for 24 years, retiring in February 2020.

She loved serving others, even amid her own trials, Evon always served others. She loved the temple and before it’s closing, she and Shon attended at least every week to do baptisms. She share her tesimony of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father’s love whenever she had a chance. She was a blessing to all her grandbabies and loved stealing their "sugar" and whipping them into shape with her trademark windmill move.

She is survived by her husband, Steven Lane Kelly of Bunkerville, NV; her children, Shon Kelly of Bunkerville, NV, Shanan (Rebecca) Kelly of Overton, NV, Cory (Heather) Kelly of Garden Valley, ID, Lane (Dru) Kelly of Las Vegas, NV, James (Emily) Kelly of Mesquite, NV, Shalee (Johnathan) Denninghoff of Henderson, NV, Ruben (Natalie) Kelly of Bunerville, NV, Tyler (Jessica) Kelly of Mesquite, NV; nineteen grandsons, and six granddaughters.

In accordance with Evon’s wishes there was no viewing or funeral. She was laid to rest at the Bunkerville Cemetery next to two of her grandbabies. The family had an intimate graveside service which was attended by invitation only.
