Fernando José Muñoz

Fernando José Muñoz passed away on November 26, 2021 at Mesa View Hospital in Mesquite, NV.  Fernando was born on September 16, 1958 in Auburn, California to Josefina and José Muñoz.  He was raised in Colfax, CA and that was where he graduated high school.  He and his best friend, Manley Scott Minsker, enjoyed a wonderful 39 years together and  on January 15, 2016 were married in Maui, Hawaii.

Fernando also lived in Stockton, CA, Ogden, UT and Mesquite, NV.  He worked at Hills Air Force Base for the Defense Logistics Agency and was where he retired from.  He had a wide variety of interests including working with stained glass, scrap booking, stamping, photography, cooking and billiards.  However, traveling to Maui and whale watching was one of the best things he enjoyed doing.

Fernando is survived by his husband, Manley Minsker, of Mesquite, NV; six sisters, Consuelo Duff, of Arkansas; Lucy Moman, of California; Jessie Astor, of Nevada; Marie Moreno, of California; Ginger Muñoz, of Nevada; Dorothy McCloud, of California; and one brother, José Vaquera, of Nevada.

There will be a Celebration of Life on December 12, 2021 at the Stateline Casino, 490 W. Mesquite Blvd. in Mesquite, NV from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
