Jimmie Sue (Barnette) Fullinwider, 79, of Bozeman, Montana passed away in her sleep on Thursday, February 13, 2020 in Arizona. She was born to the late Ralph Leroy Barnette and Bernice Julia (Wooddell) Barnette in Tioga, West Virginia on February 4, 1941. She graduated from Warren County High School in Virginia in 1958 before attending Mary Washington College, where she graduated in 1962, with a B.A. in Liberal Arts and a Certified Teaching Degree.
Jimmie Sue met the love of her life, Dennis Fullinwider, at a "drive-up, order and eat in your car" restaurant, The Park and Tell, in Triangle, Virginia and they later married on September 27, 1963 in Chevy Chase, Maryland. They started their family in Prince William County, Virginia where her father was a respected teacher and honored coach at Garfield High School. She became a homemaker, who was deeply devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren. In 1974 they moved to Great Falls, Montana where they lived until moving back to Virginia in 1985. In 1996 they once again made Montana home in Bozeman. After Dennis retired, they enjoyed traveling to their “home away from home” in Beaver Dam, Arizona to spend the winters. Jimmie Sue remained a faithful fan of her Washington Redskins, Nationals and Capitals. She was overjoyed seeing the Capitals win the Stanley Cup and the Nationals Win the World Series. Sports were not her only passion, she was a forever Elvis fan as well. Another favorite past time of hers was to hunt for treasures in thrift stores where she often collected things to give to her grandchildren when she visited.
She was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Fullinwider, Jr. who many knew as “Denny Mack“ Bellinger (Michelle, surv.) her brother; Michael Barnette, her grandson; Camden Devine and son-in-law; Charles “Ponch” Carter. Her survivors include her husband of 57 years, Dennis Fullinwider, children; Eric Fullinwider (Helen) of Manassas, Virginia; Jamie Fullinwider (Jen) of Fairfax Station, Virginia, Daughter; Heather Devine (John) of San Clemente, California; and Jeb Fullinwider (Kelyn) of Bozeman, Montana, fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Proverbs 31:28 “Her children rise up and bless her; Her husband also, and he praises her saying: ‘Many daughters have done nobly, but you excel them all’.”
