Juan Manuel Mora, age 69, died Sunday, March 14, 2021 at his home in Bunkerville, Nevada surrounded by many family members and loved ones. He was born October 12, 1951 in Lockney, Texas to Vicente and Marcela Gonzalez Mora. On November 11, 1972 he married Maria Anita Baeza at The Saint John's Catholic Church In Overton, Nevada.
Juan grew up in Overton where he graduated from Moapa Valley High School. He raised his family in Overton where he worked for the Clark County Public Works for 33 years. Following retirement he made his home in Bunkerville. He loved going on trips to visit family and was always a phone call away when needed. Family were always his priority.
Survivors include his sweetheart, Maria; three daughters and one son: Renee (Joe) Matthews of Mesquite, NV; Rebecca (Ramon) Sosa of Overton, NV; Cecilia (Jacob) Ruvalcaba, and Adam both of Bunkerville, NV; ten grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters: Felicita Villarreal of Las Vegas, NV; Lupe (Tirso) Cortez of Moapa, NV; Bobby of Overton, NV; Vincent (Maria) of Pahrump, NV and Oscar of Logandale, NV. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in his honor on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the La Virgen de Guadalupe Catholic Church, Mesquite, Nevada. A public visitation will be held Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Bunkerville Recreation Center (The Old School), Bunkerville, Nevada. Interment will follow the funeral Mass in the Bunkerville Cemetery.
