Lawrence Allen Adelt

Lawrence “Larry” Allen Adelt, age 67, passed away suddenly from heart failure at his residence in Mesquite, Nevada. He was born September 28, 1953, in Salt Lake City, to Gerhard and Betty Adelt.

Larry has closed this chapter of his earthly journey and has gone home to be with his family, friends and his beloved dogs. He owned and operated his own company, Adelt Design, a commercial carpet binding business for many years. But his true passion was his art. As a gifted artist, he created an entire art form with his carpet art and designs. Larry was always a talented, free spirit, and he lived life on his own terms. He was a good soul with a generous heart. Larry was an avid sport’s fan and loved participating in various sporting activities as well. He always enjoyed good friends and good times. He will be truly missed by those who knew him.

Larry was preceded in death by his father Gerhard Eric Adelt, his mother Betty Gail Adelt, and his two brothers Eric Hyde Adelt and Gary Cowley Adelt. He is survived by his sister Janet M. Somsen.

Larry’s graveside service and interment will take place at the Salt Lake City Cemetery, in Salt Lake City, Utah at 1:00 pm on September 15, 2021.
