Michael James Allen

Michael James Allen, age 70, died Tuesday, November 3, 2020 in Mesquite, Nevada.  He was born August 27, 1950 in Savage, Minnesota to Jerome Martin and Viola Murin Larson Allen.
Mike grew up in Savage.  He served in the US Marine Corps during Vietnam (1968-1970).  He directly supported 15 operations where he served as a helicopter medic.  He raised his family in St. Paul, Minnesota and later in Brookings, South Dakota where he worked as an electronic technician on medical imaging equipment.  He enjoyed home improvement projects, traveling in his RV, restoring classic and muscle cars.  He also belonged to the Hellcat 202 MPH club.
Survivors include two sons and one daughter, Michael (Leslie) of Argos, IN; Chris (April) of Lincoln, NE; Angela of Sioux Falls, SD; seven grandchildren, four sisters and his dog, Soxs.  
Mike’s ashes will be interred in a family plot in the Saint John The Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Savage, Minnesota.  We would love anyone who signs the guest book to please feel free to share a memory or story of our Dad with us at www.virginvalleymortuary.com
