Pamela Jean (Thomas) Hollister

Pamela Jean Hollister, 74, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2019 in her home in Las Vegas, NV. Pamela was born on October 12, 1944 in Lebanon, OR to Hasil Sneed Thomas and Dorris Okal Stoddard. Pam was married to Roy Fredric Hollister in Laguna Beach, CA on July 12, 1986, until his passing on September 6, 2003. 

In 1965, Pam married her first husband, Darrell C. Jensen, and gave birth to a daughter Shellie soon after. After they were divorced, they stayed good friends and worked together to raise their daughter. Pam and Roy traveled the world, visiting Europe, Japan, China, and many other locations. They operated their own successful marketing business for many years, and Pam continued running the business after Roy’s passing. She kept herself busy, and committed much of her time to serving in her Church. As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she never missed a Sunday playing the organ for Sacrament meeting and filling in on piano as needed. She was always busy doing family history and temple work, and participated in a weekly scripture study group. On the side, Pam was a dog rescuer, and took many of those dogs home with her. She was a leader in her family, and was very well organized. 

Pam is survived by her siblings, Judy Bullard, Steven (Cathy) Thomas, and Bradley (Sue) Thomas, and her grandson; Colby Hulet. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roy F. Hollister; her daughter, Shellie J. Hulet, and her brother, Phillip J.  Thomas. 

A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery at 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive, Boulder City, NV 89005. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ Chapel on 7401 Smoke Ranch Road, Las Vegas, NV 89128.
