Paul Lewis Obituary

Paul Condie Lewis, age 91, died March 9, 2018 at his home in Moapa, Nevada surrounded by his loving posterity. He was born July 1, 1926 in Springville, Utah to Clarence Arthur and Lillian Condie Lewis. He grew up with his five siblings in Overton, Nevada. He was a farm boy who loved animals and the out of doors. He graduated high school in 1944 during World War II. He immediately joined the Navy and served until the end of the War. He served in the South Pacific and was very proud to have fought for freedom. He was frustrated at all the rules and regulations that have come to plague our country and restrict our freedom.

On October 30, 1945 he married his high school sweetheart, LouJeanne Barlow, in San Francisco, California. After the war they settled in Moapa Valley. They were sealed in the St. George Temple on June 29, 1949. Paul was a successful dairy farmer, a rancher, a contractor and more. He always put his full energy into the things he was involved in. After retirement he bred, trained and raced Thoroughbred horses. He produced many champions. Of all his accomplishments, the most important to him was his good family. He would say that a good family is the only true measure of success. He headed a family of 370 people and growing. They are his legacy.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and he and his wife served a mission together in Macon, Georgia. He loved his Savior, Jesus Christ.

Paul and LouJeanne were the parents of 7 children. He is survived by his son Robert C. Lewis (Vivian) of Moapa, NV and daughters, Dianne Leavitt (Gary) of Moapa, NV, Susan Pulsipher (Bill) of Moapa, NV and Lillian Outcalt (Rocky) of Skagway, AK; 42 of his 44 grandchildren having lost Jonathan G. Lewis and Ammon E. Lewis; 206 great grandchildren and 35 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife, LouJeanne on October 22, 2013; three sons, Paul Ronald Lewis (Pat), Richard C. Lewis (Kim Marshall), and David A Lewis.
