Peggy Reynolds

    Marguerite “Peggy” Irene Reynolds, age 83, passed away Saturday, June3, 2023 at her home in Overton, Nevada surrounded by family. She was born May 30, 1940 in Pine, Arizona to Guy R. and Pearl Irene Blanche Fairchild Adair. On January 30, 1957 she married Gilbert Christensen and they had four children. Later she married Sam Reynolds on September 22, 1980. Sam came to the marriage with two daughters. Peggy and Sam were sealed May 3, 1986 in the St. George Temple.
    Peggy came to the valley in 1974 where she has lived ever since. She quickly gained many friends. She worked in the schools lunch service program for over 25 years. She loved serving the children. The past few years she volunteered at the Senior Store, where she loved serving the community. Peggy also enjoyed gardening, cooking and painting on rocks. She especially loved to spend time with her family and was a very devoted wife, mother and Grandmother. She loved doing genealogy and was proud of her Pioneer heritage. Peggy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed serving in many callings. She had a strong testimony in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Peggy was a loving beautiful person in every way and loved to help others. She was a blessing to all that knew her.
    Peggy is survived by her husband, Sam Reynolds; her children: Debra Schamanek, Lee Christensen, Fred (Tracy) Christensen, Holly (Ben) Paschal and Hope Richardson. She was preceded in death by her son Jason and siblings: Raymond, Jr., Virginia, Wilbur and Dennis.  She will be loved and missed by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
    Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints Overton Chapel, 226 W. Thomas Street.  A visitation will be held from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. prior to the services at the chapel.  Interment will follow the services in the Pioneer Hill Cemetery.
