Randal Christensen Obituary

Randal Keith Christensen, 53, passed away on April 13, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family in Logandale, NV. Randy was born on October 14, 1968 in Boulder City, NV to Albert LeRoy Christensen and Ila Mae Andreasen. Randy was raised in Henderson, NV and attended Helen J. Stewart School in Las Vegas NV. He loved sports and earned many awards and medals in the Special Olympics, competing in Track, Swimming, Basketball, Bocce ball and bowling. After graduating from school, Randy worked for Opportunity Village for many years.  His mother passed away in 2003 so Randy moved to Moapa Valley with his sister, Linda, who cared for him for many years. Randy started working at Danville Services, Mesquite, NV, where he met many lifelong friends and progressed to a very competitive bowler and won many gold medals in partner and singles bowling when he joined the Desert Stars Special Olympics team.  After Linda’s passing on June 10th, 2019, Randy stayed in the care of his niece and her husband, Jeanette and Joe Smith where he continued with his Special Olympics and working at Danville services.

Randy was the biggest Dallas Cowboys and WWE fan. He enjoyed the outdoors, going fishing and camping with anyone who would take him. He also loved going on his Razor “Scooter” rides with his nephew Joe and his dog Gunner. He loved every holiday and loved watching horror and sci-fi movies. He had a goofy sense of humor, and had a smile that could light up the room. He was a friend to everyone and always introducing himself to new people and always looked forward to his Friday diet cokes and McDonalds.

Randy is survived by his siblings, Alan (Marlene) Christensen, Rick Christensen, Kayleen (Don, deceased) Collins, Michael (Jeanette) Christensen, and Marty (Danielle) Christensen; his numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, and 1 great-great-nephew. A large extended family and his dog Gunner. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Melinda Christensen.
