Jean Hainworth of Littlefield AZ, a Registered Nurse, with a gift for serving others, passed away May 24, 2021 at the age of 62.
Jean’s life story began on July 17, 1958 in Lander WY, where she was born to Mavadell & Tom Hainworth. Jean grew up and graduated from Lander Valley High School in 1967. In 1990 she graduated from Central Wyoming College in Riverton WY. With an Applied Science Degree in Nursing. Jean continued her education to become a Registered Nurse. She loved her career and because of that it took her to hospitals in Wyoming, Colorado, and Nevada. In 2004 she relocated to Mesa View Regional Hospital in Mesquite, NV. where she worked for many years. She cultivated many friends which she considered, "Family".
The simplest pleasures in life brought Jean great joy. She loved quiet evenings at home with a romance novel and glass of wine. She was an avid gardener and could grow almost anything. She had a great love for cooking, and because of that love, she collected a library of cookbooks. Jean also enjoyed sewing and began to explore the world of quilting. Jean had an obsession with horses and did not miss a horse race on T.V. (if she could help it). Most of all Jean loved her son, Jake and was grateful for the time she spent with him.
Jean is survived by her son, Jake Albert; Fiance’, Jennifer Phillips; sister, Lynne Gardner; husband, Charlie; brother, Ted Hainworth and wife Donna; brother-in-law, Ted Ledger; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maradelle and Tom Hainworth; sister, Liz Ledger; and her boyfriend of many years, Gary Bill.
Jean will be greatly missed by all that knew her. Family and friends will hold a "Celebration of Life" in memory of her on June 26, 2021. Please call Jake at 435-862-1364 for service information. The family invites you to leave a message or memory on their Guestbook at virginvalleymortuary.com.
