Tammera Lee Williams, 59, passed away on June 25, 2020 in Henderson, NV. Tammie was born on June 15, 1961 in Ely, NV and was the first child to Robert Dale Butcher and Georgia Frandsen. From an early age, Tammie developed a passion for music and practiced constantly. She became a talented singer and emphasized in playing the piano, organ, and clarinet. She later attended SUU to pursue a degree in music, and learned to play every instrument required of her. Tammie went back to earn her Master’s in Early Childhood Development/Education, and helped develop the curriculum for Headstart, a program designed to assist young children learn. She loved working with children, and had a special place in her heart for those with special needs. She was awarded the ‘Who’s Who American Teacher’s’ award for her dedication to education.
She met Lanyard Williams, and after several years together, left on their lunch break, and returned to work as a married couple. They shared a passion for theatre, and started the business LanTam Productions to encourage youths in the arts. They had so much fun until Lanyard’s passing in 2013.
Tammie had a free spirit with a wild heart, and was a dreamer. She would never turn down an opportunity to serve others. She loved her children, and her grandchildren, and crocheted a blanket for each of them.
Tammie is survived by her children, Talia Anderson and Jeremy (Briana) Estrella; her grandchildren, Ashlie, Abagaile, Aimmie, Elianna, Michael, Matthew, and Aria; her father, Robert Dale Butcher; her sisters, Kathleen (Brian) Christensen and Bobbie (Kent) Hugh; her grandmother, Adaline Butcher, and a large extended family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lanyard Williams and her mother, Georgia Butcher.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at the Moapa Valley Mortuary in Logandale, NV, with Viewing services held prior from 9:30-10:30 a.m., and will be available through Live-stream services. The family invites you to leave a message or memory in their Guest Book.
